RoHS Statement
Based upon the European Union RoHS Directive; Any new electronic equipment put on the market after the RoHS Directive effective date (effective July 1, 2006) in the European Union, may not contain or severely limits any of the 6, non-compliant substances (Lead, Cadmium, Hexavalent Chromium, Mercury, PBB, and PBDE), unless the equipment falls outside the scope of RoHS or one of the RoHS exemptions is satisfied.
Although many of C&K Components product had been RoHS Compliant prior to this Effective date of July 1, 2006, C&K Products has implemented conversions of non-compliant, part number option codes, and part numbers to new formats that identify such finished part numbers as RoHS Compliant. Many of these identifying options would be noted in the C&K catalog pages under the option called “Contact Material”.
On October 21, 2005 The Commission of European Communities issued its decision to expand the exemptions to RoHS, which permits the use of cadmium in electrical contacts. While Cadmium is not widely used by C&K, we do offer high rated Snap Switch Products that use this substance within the conditions of the RoHS waiver.

Statement on Conflict Materials – December 2011
C&K Components is aware of the Dodd-Frank Act regarding purchasing minerals or their derivatives determined by the US Secretary of State to be financing the conflict in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) and adjoining countries. C&K supports the Act and understands the importance of this issue in light of well documented events in this region.
In support of this we have asked our suppliers to continuously monitor supply chains to avoid procurement of materials from conflict regions, and to be forthright in sharing their compliance information with us. We have assurances from our strategic plating suppliers that, as far as it is possible to know, no metals derived from conflict materials are used in their manufacturing process.
