Equality Index Women & Men

The French law to «Choose Your Future» of September 5th 2018 includes a chapter entitled "Equal Pay for Women and Men and combating sexual violence and gender-based behavior in the workplace".

As equality between women and men was declared a major cause during the five-year period, in May 2018, the French government launched an action plan on equal pay. Since 2018 "Avenir Professionnel" law was passed, it is no longer an obligation of means but an obligation of result. Within this framework, the government has put in place a new tool for companies: Gender Equality Index.

All the companies With more than 50 employees are affected by the distribution of the index result :

  • Indicator 1 : The gender pay gap : 36/40
  • Indicator 2 : The spread of individual increases : 20/20
  • Indicator 3 : Spread of promotions : 15/15
  • Indicator 4 : The number of employees increased upon their return from maternity leave : 15/15
  • Indicator 5 : The number of women in the top 10 : 5/10
