Based in Michigan, this position will be responsible for planning, organizing and controlling automotive programs throughout product life cycles in order to optimize profit and meet marketing, financial and corporate growth objectives.

TYPICAL DUTIES:

  • Drive new automotive business opportunities
  • Identify target customers for C&K automotive team penetration. Working closely with the Automotive Business Development Manager, and local sales representative, increase the market share of existing customers, and penetrate the target accounts for C&K worldwide offering.
  • Work with C&K management to develop an automotive strategy (taking into consideration market trends and competitive conditions)
  • Respond to all automotive customer RFQ’s, including quotations of all related product and process entities and contract reviews of all terms and conditions plus all other SOW’s (Statements of Work).
  • Interact and negotiate with the customer for C&K on the component and tool/equipment charges, to minimize C&K risk and exposure.
  • Responsible for creating and maintaining Strategic Account Roadmap, detailing the customer projects and electromechanical switch usages, as well as the lifecycle of the projects which could use C&K switch products.
  • Negotiate credit terms to maximize C&K cash flow.
  • Must be familiar with Automotive design cycle requirements, including PPAP, PV and DV Testing.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelors of Science degree in a technical discipline, business degree a plus
  • 5+ years of experience in Engineering, Manufacturing, Product Management or Sales/Marketing in the Automotive Industry. Experience in sub-miniature electro-mechanical components desired.

TYPICAL DUTIES:

  • Drive new strategic account opportunities
  • Identify target customers for C&K strategic account team penetration. Working closely with C&K Product Management and local sales representative, increase the market share of designated existing customers, and penetrate the target accounts for C&K worldwide offering.

Ref. NJ07

Based in Newton MA, reporting to the Product Director, this position will be responsible for planning, organizing and controlling an assigned product line from conceptual stages through product life cycles to optimize profit and meet marketing, financial and corporate growth objectives.

Up to 35% travel required – including international travel.

TYPICAL DUTIES:

  • Attain specific short and long term sales and margin objectives through the development and execution of product line vision and strategies incorporating consideration for pricing, product development, manufacturing capabilities, competitors and promotion.
  • Lead a multi-functional ‘product business team’ (engineering, manufacturing, planning, purchasing) to drive product related issues that effect revenue, margin and customer satisfaction.
  • Drive new product development efforts; determine new product direction for your product lines through customer/sales input and market research, set priorities for R&D, coordinate New Business Opportunities (NBO) efforts, prepare New Product Development (NPD) related financial analysis and coordinate make versus buy decisions.
  • Set pricing for standard product offerings (book prices), coordinate special prices and pricing contracts.
  • Provide quarterly product forecasts in coordination with the sales organization.
  • Conduct product sales training classes.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Bachelors degree in a technical discipline, business degree a plus
  2. 5+ years of experience in Engineering, Manufacturing, Product Management or Sales/Marketing. Experience in sub-miniature electro-mechanical components is highly desirable.
  3. Strong PC skills
  4. Excel experience a must
  5. Database experience a plus
  6. Superior written and verbal communication as well as presentation skills.
